Hello! I’m John Sweeney, but everyone calls me Sweeney…

I was born and raised.  I live in a town that has weather. I have family and friends. That covers the basics :-)

The rest… I’m a cinematographer based in Bozeman Montana, but I've travelled all over the world for work and wherever your project is based I would be excited to hear about it!

My passion is creative storytelling through commercials, tv shows and narrative films.

I have created stunning story driven commercials for major brands such as Pelican, LMNT, Lululemon, Proper Good & more. And, I have filmed narrative feature films such as Death on the Dearborn, Murder in Nashville and Trapped in the Rocky Mountains to name a few.

I could write endlessly about my work, but hopefully the collection on this site will speak for itself!  If you like my style and would like to chat with me about a project I would love to hear from you…

Please contact me via the contact form, email me at sweeneycinema@gmail.com or shoot me a call at 406-224-1715!

Thanks, Sweeney
